Of Rhymes and Poems (and of wrong grammar)

Do you know I rhymed for you?
Delight me that you did, too
Listen to me, listen to me now
I endeavor to tell how things how

Hasty dealings happen did
Goodbyes I have tried to bid
I believed all is a fallacy
Almost believed what I did not see

Awaken one day I knew
That my battle is with you
Everything has been over the air
There been pain and ache I cannot bare

You see what I cannot see
I am me so let me be
My life is then at my discretion
My life is an owned obligation

Time pacified our uproar
In life there is of great more
Let us sort it as an experience
Experience by us and the heavens

I think, to end this talk must be now
There is next time, I believe somehow
This moment I use to seize
These verses I am to cease

Of Time, Pain and Pleasure

Time is an abstract idea created by men to measure how long they will suffer pain and experience pleasure. It is a murderer for which it planned to kill everything. It is an ally for which it gives space for the existing. There is no much assurance that time will still be there later for the living but there is always eternity for those who lived.

“There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain…” – Lorem Ipsum

The idea of pleasure began when the idea of pain started. It all happened in time. Please let me know that there is more to time than being time itself.

***
These are little thoughts from me. I am not very sensible all the time. I can speak nonsense and ambiguity. I, also, want to take this space to thank the people who, at least, made me feel I am sensible even though I am intellectually confusing at times.

PS
I have written this because of much pain I cannot feel and of much pleasure I cannot experience. Well… There is time for everything. Let time take its course into my life.

Hearts' Day

Ü
Ok! Today is Hearts’ Day more, better and popularly known as Valentine’s Day.

I was planning to wear my red shirt with the statement, “Intimacy is Dead,” but I might look like very loveless when I do that.

Wow! Inubos ko ang food ko! As in hanggang taba kinain ko at pati yung soup hinigop ko.

Chicharap + Chili sauce + Sweet and sour sauce = Kakaibang lasa
Chicharap + Calamansi + Lettuce + Toyo = Maasim na mukha
Chicharap + Chili sauce + isa pang unknown na sauce + sweet and sour sauce = YIH! Ano yun!

Basta! Weird sila kumain! Nawiwindang ako sa kinakain nila. Hehe! Pero masaya kanina.

Ayan! Pauwi na kami! Si Jep na lang ang kasama ko. Ok! Akala tuloy eh mag-boyfriend at girlfriend kami. Tsk tsk. Basta… ang masasabi ko lang ngayon ay…

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Birthday Jeffrey!

Teachers' Day

Today is PUP’s teachers’ day… I believe so…

I do not know if we gave some flowers to our English prof… We were just busy playing word factory at that time.

Ok! Accounting time! Ma’am Pilapil came… I think she was in a red blouse.
She entered the room and sat behind the table. The music started and we began singing. We gave flowers and lots of tokens of appreciation. She cried. We cried. I cried. She said we are going to finish the semester and she’s expecting us to be accountants some day. She said she will live up to 5 – 10 years. She still cried. We still cried. I still cried.

She has breast cancer. Her other breast was removed but the cancer cells spread onto the other one and even affected her bones (as what the other prof has said). I can feel her pain. I can feel her weakening spirit. Her droopy eyes are able to tell the story of her constant struggle for life. T_T

Now I understand why she has a hard time teaching and explaining things to us, why she keeps on saying she’s disabled, and why she keeps on reminding us to pamper her.

I cried when I saw her cry.
I hope she gets those cancer cells off her body.
Hay…
Let’s pray for her and all the other cancer patients in the world.

Having to Like Kids

Having to like children is a matter of loving your childhood.

I do not know why but I can hardly enjoy children’s company. Maybe they think superficially, ask excessively or act intuitively… Or maybe all of the three.

I got very angry this yesterday. Reason? Kids! Kids! Maddening kids to be exact!
I was taking a bath when I heard a glass break. I rushed to see what happened. Ok! A flying bottle of Red Bull hit our window and smashed it into pieces. I looked at the broken window, paused for a second and yelled, “ANO BA KAYO?! NAKAKABASAG NA KAYO, AH!” My aunt, mom and sister went to see and talk to the one who did the throwing.

I rushed to my sister’s room to see who did it. I saw three infuriating kids throwing stones to the house beside ours. That did it! I shouted at them. My hands are shaking, breathing is hard and my chest is hurting.

A kid in pink shirt told me that those irritating kids are hiding. I shouted, “PAKI KO?!” I just thought that there is no way to escape. I rushed to the badminton court where they are. I saw the kids! Those rascals! My eyesight seemed to dim when I did not see the one who told me to kiss his ass. Oh! Add this… He even cursed me… Not verbally… You know… The dirty finger…

Their parents were not there to witness how their children lied in front of me and the other people around. That kid in the white shirt! Kids are not supposed to be liars!!!

My anger cooled off after several minutes. Hay!

Incessant Change of the Salient Being

Ok! People change.

You are not them. You are not supposed to be like them. You are supposed to be like you and what you like to be. Live your life at your own pace. Do not hurry but never be too slow.

It took me much effort because of you and me.
You: I am referring to the persons, whoever you are, who made me think poetically.
Me: The best person I have.

Do not judge me solely from what you could only read. I am no poem to be read.

“Today: You will be 64% lucky and 36% unlucky”

Horoscopes… Fortunetelling… They will tell about your fortune or misfortune.

I enjoy reading Libre’s horoscopes because they are, most of the time, funny… e.g. Maglaba ka na ng damit dahil mawawalan kayo ng tubig mamaya. Some times they are little pieces of advice that you would really like to take seriously. e.g. Ingatan mo ang wallet mo baka madukutan ka.

There’s nothing wrong in reading or hearing them but relying on them is off beam. It’s only YOU that will make your fortune and mishaps.

A fortuneteller told someone that she’s going to live long (up to her 90s I think) but, sadly, few days after that she passed away. May she rest in eternal peace. Another one… A fortuneteller told a girl that her boyfriend loves her more than she does but few weeks/several days after that they broke up and the guy reconciled with his ex-girlfriend. Those fortunetellers are a fake! Nah… Fortunetelling is not a sanctuary of the definite. It is the refuge for those who wants to get off the beaten track. You go to a fortuneteller to hear how lucky you will be this day, this week, this month or this year. It’s such a nice thing to hear how fortunate you will become, isn't it? That's why fortunetellers are existing.

Some believe that your fortune is in your hands… Take that literally. Palm readers take much effort to give meaning to those lines in your hands. What if you don’t have a hand? Or your hand got amputated? Do they also read the palm of your feet? Do they give meaning to those corns on your toes and feet?

Let’s just wait for the first fortuneteller that will tell your LUCK-UNLUCKY PERCENTAGE. Is there already one?

Making art...

Our Humanities professor told us to create our own work of art. OK! That would pose as a challenge for an artistically perplexed person like me. It has been already half a day that I have been thinking about my assignment and what to draw. Originally, I have decided to use charcoal pencil but that would smudge easily so I dumped that idea and made use of permanent marker.

Subjects started to flood my head but I found it hard to turn them into pictures because I can only feel them and not imagine them. I wanted to draw my everyday life which includes LRT2, jeepneys, roads, books and my sister. Hayst! When I found out that I could never turn them into nice art I tried thinking about what people usually do, what we usually have in common, what we… Wah! It’s so hard…

I tried to draw life and death because I am fascinated with the idea that life is uncertain unlike death. Unfortunately, I failed to draw them. They just remain ideas. Hayst! I even thought of having to pass a blank illustration board.

It’s just this afternoon when I have produced something that really pleased me. I drew outlines of walking people’s feet.

The picture is quite blurred and dark...

I asked my aunt about my drawing and she thinks that it is about different walks of life… Well... WHY NOT?! But it is about traveling. Everyone travels even if you just sit around or lie down. You, together with everyone else, travel in time and in space. I really felt good after I finished my work. At last… At last…

For the times I have counted and the times that counted

The current year is about to end in a couple of hours and before it happens let me say and share these few things…

I have been able to start a few and end a few
I have found my another cherished few
I tried and I failed a lot
I am making an effort to think wisely
I have regretted many
I am still weird and hard to understand
I have gotten what I have given
I wanted to say “Sorry” and Thank you” but I never did
I wanted to show earnest appreciation but I do not how
I started learning Appreciation 101 and Sorry 101
I have learnt that important things are the ones left unnoticed
I discovered that numbers are only used to count physical things
I changed, am changing and will change

Sorry kasi childish akong mag-isip minsan

Thank you at sorry...

The UP Adventures: From Oblation Run to The Bomb Threat

Pumunta kaming UP nung Friday (Dec. 15, 2006)… Para manood ng… Dandananandanan! Oblation Run at syempre Lantern Parade!

Sa may AS steps ata (Tama ba?). Ayun! They came from behind!

Ayun… Ang tagal naming umupo sa Acad Oval…

Dumating na ang mga taong-jackstone! May bagong parada! Nandun nga si Astroboy, Spiderman at marami pang iba. Syempre may mala-oble din silang tema. Ehehe! Ahaha! At ayun.

Kapag pala pupunta ako dun dapat magpayaman muna ako.

Hay…
Para sa Oble: May susunod pang years… Hehe!

Wala munang bopis, libreng dyaryo, crosswords, sudoku...

Ayan…

Uhm… May hang-over pa ako ng pagpasok.
Wala akong raket ngayon.
Walang pasok, walang baon.
Hay…
Wala munang hinatayan sa platform sa Santolan.
Wala munang Xpress at Libre.
Wala munang crosswords at sudoku.
Wala munang attendance sa CR na laging masikip, mainit at mapanghi. At laging baha!
Wala munang akyatan blues hanggang fifth floor…
Wala munang… Hay!

Hay… Buhay estudyante nga naman. Mga two weeks din kaming walang pasok. o_O Ahoho! Matagal-tagal pero tambak sa gawain…

Nga pala!
12 days na lang before Christmas!
Advance Merry Christmas!
Ang aga talaga ng bakasyon namin!
o_O

My thought for the day:

Great Expectations

For these past few days I have been thinking about myself, my so-called endowments and my soon-to-be discovered talents. I have never been like this since my sister won a prize in an essay-writing contest and since her article got published in a column of Libre. For several times I have thought that maybe there’s an open door for me in the field of writing but for several times, too, that I have thought that its door is close with the big red detour sign leading me to somewhere else.

They’re expecting too much from me. My mom is proud about her talent in writing good business correspondence and my sister is a blooming free-lance writer. Are they expecting me to be a good writer also? Or are they expecting me to be someone who simply stands out from the crowd?

I have never discovered myself fully. My so-called talents never bore any award for me. Maybe it is also due to my tendency to be idle when I do not like what I am doing or maybe it is due to I do not want to exert much effort to notice my hidden talents. I have never set my goals high. I just dream high. It’s such a big difference.

I have told myself that I can barely have what I want but a saying always pops in my head and that is, “There are two tragedies in life: not getting what you want and getting it.”

I do not know when I will be turning into ashes so I want to have an achievement by now. Currently, I am failing to help myself. When will I not? I am tired of being like this.

I love you... I love you... I love you...

Hindi ako sanay na sabihan ng “I love you…”

I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you… I love you…
Hmmm… Wah! Mwah.” Ahem! Hindi naman sa assuming ako, ha! Ako yung sinasabihan! Pero hindi someone special ang nagsabi. Pero special pa rin! Pano yun? Uhm… Hindi yung someone showbiz… Friend ko siya! Ayun!

Ilang tao na rin ang nagsabi sa akin ng “I love you.” Pero hindi lahat English! Yung iba kasi Filipino… Uhm… Yung “Mahal kita.”

Basta! Many to mention… Sana nga many… Hoho!

Minsan talaga kinikilabutan ako kapag sinasabihan ako ng ganon. What’s the problem with me?!

Kaloka! Pero that’s life. Naman! LAHAT NG PROBLEMA EH KONEKTADO SA “THAT IS LIFE!”

Pero hindi ata normal yung ugali ko! Tulong…

May pagka-sungit effect kasi ako.

Sosyalerang ewan

Well… It shows…

Mukha raw akong soyalerang ewan. What’s sosyalerang ewan? Do you mean it’s the pa-sosyal pero hindi really sosyal? Oh, my goshy! Ahem!

Well… Well… Well… Solid ako sa spoon and fork! Hindi nga finesse ang pagkilos ko, eh!

Hay… (-_-)

I can’t believe that my eyes were teary before we went home. It was due to some uncontrollable variables in the environment.

Yesterday I was narrating an event. I was very serious when the person I was talking to suddenly said something about being funny. My vision seemed to dim. I felt so much frustration.

I really have a hard time expressing myself through words because I am rhetorically perplexed. My vocabulary seems to narrow every time I want to say something and things always get jumbled in my head.

And I just continued chatting with him/her.

It’s a tough task for me to express my emotions and they just end up tightly packed in my chest… Maybe that’s why I can hardly breathe every time I get angry. To every one who’s involved in this entry and to anyone who thinks they are involved… Just read the following…

Please try to understand me.
I can hardly conform with some of your ideas. Give me time...
I may not be really expressive but I am sensitive enough to know what’s happening.
Stop thinking that I am always happy. I do smile a lot but that does not mean that everything is in their place.
I became like this, partly, because there are people who don’t take me seriously.
It may be a text away but it is not enough to show how I really feel. Stop making me feel that everything’s funny every time I am burdened with these kinds of stuffs!
I have had hurt many people. I am human. I err. I fail. I am sorry.
Not everything is here. Well… As what I have said... I have problems with expressing myself through words. Words are weak in containing man's desires and emotions.

I can’t believe I almost cried for you.

How divine is it to forgive?

“Life does not cease to be funny when one cries and it does not cease to be serious when one laughs.”

Ang Musical na LRT2 at ang First Day

52 days before Christmas… Nov. 3 yun! Ngayon yun! At ngayon din ang first day ng 2nd sem namin.

(-_-)
Dos ang kailangan namin! Pambihira naman. At take note… “At least” isang pad ng 6-column worksheet yun, ah.

Ayun. At syempre LRT2 ulit! Aba…

(o_o) My gulay!

First year Economics student siya sa UST. Uhm… Baka makita niyo rin siya sa Starstruck4. Sumali raw siya roon! Tapos… (-_-)

*TOOT* Check operator sevices… Huwat! May 20 pesos pa akong extra load! Hindi ko man nagamit. (o_o)

“They say things don’t happen accidentally. If they are bound to happen they surely will. You’re not just an accident, I was meant to know you for a reason.” >Aw. Ü

“Everyday I soak myself with reasons to forget them. Everyday I lie. Everyday I try to find strength to get me through... And yet everyday I die...” >Paki-explain… (?_?)

Syempre kung may seryoso may joke din. No offense to Chinese…
New born Chinese names:
Born secretly: Tina Go
Born swindled: Lino Co
Born alternately: Sally Tan
Born accused: Macy Sy
Born honest: Uma Ming
Born dark: Andy Lim
Born fat: Lucky Chan
Born fatter: Bob Uy
Born evil: Daemon Yu
Born flirt: Alan Dy
Born smelly: Kelly Kay Lee
Born different: Eva Yan
Born incomplete: Cole Ang
Born sick: Hatch Cheng
Born cute: Eddy Mi

Meron din talagang... Uhmm… Basta maganda kaya speechless ako.
“There are two greatest days in your life… The day you were born and the day you discover why.”

“If you have deposits in Pan-Asia, Banco De Oro and Cocobank withdraw it ASAP! Rumors say they’re in trouble and will soon merge to become Pan-De-Coco!”

Syempre. Andyan din yung about love.
“One day a girl asked her boyfriend, “Ilan na ang minahal mo?” The boy was confused. He then looked back at the girl and said, “Bakit ilan ka ba?””

“It is really very sad to let go someone you loved with your whole being… But sometimes letting go is the bet way out and the most sensible thing to do… Love conquers all but not everybody wins the battle. Conceding does not mean you’re weak but it shows that you’re brave enough to face reality.” >Yung last line sana dito yung ise-send ko, eh!

“People will adore and love you for all the things you’ve done for them, but will hate you for a single mistake. That’s the irony of life.” – Uncle Ben, Spiderman

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” – Dr. Seuss

Telephone Operator: Just a minute, sir.
Erap: Ok. Thank you. (At binaba na ang phone)

At syempre.
“Your Account Balance as of 10/31/2006 10:02:07 is 0.00
You also have 0 remaining free texts.”

Enrolment

Hay… Kawawa naman sila.

Hay! Wala namang nangyari nung first day of enrolment namin. Ayun.

Ano nga bang meron nung second day? Hindi ko masyadong maalala. Basta nag-Chowking kami. Umuwi ulit kami ng maaga. At…

Third day…

Dandananandanan! Tinatanong yung pangalan ko tapos pinagsisigawan pa ako. Kesyo lalaki raw yung ibabayad ko at masyado raw akong mabait. Hindi niya alam may sungay ako!

(-_-) Sina Froilan, Hyde, Hazel, Gibson and many more na yung naglakad ng validation ng OR ko at ng registration card ko. Take note, ha!

(-_-) Aw.

Nag-alay-lakad kami kahapon sa Mall of Asia… Uhm… Walk for a cause yun. Fund raising. I have had a scarce idea about the event.

(-_-) Ayun… Lakad lakad. Nag-shortcut kami ni Vera. Dun kami dumaan sa may bagong tambak na lupa. At syempre!
